craniosacral therapy
what should I wear? comfortable loose fitting clothing is ideal. please avoid hats, hoodies and jeans if possible. you will not be asked to undress.
how will I feel following a session? clients often report feeling rested, reflective, and sometimes even a bit taller. some people may feel dizzy or light-headed after a session. this typically subsides fairly quickly.
what can I expect during a session? you may feel traveling sensations throughout your body, or changes in body temperature. you may have emotions, symbols, feelings or past events surface for reprocessing or release. you may feel tingles or sharp sensations at old sites of injury- most of these sensations resolve before you leave the table, but keep in mind that as things shift or release, other things may come into focus. I expect my clients to consider what it means for them to continue showing up for themselves and their body outside of our time spent together.
what got you into this work? I first heard about craniosacral therapy in a time where I was feeling consumed by karmic loops and ancestral trauma. in this dark place, it came to me as a tool that gives us the opportunity to create a better future through holding compassionate space for the past and present.

housework
how long will organizing my space take? it depends! at times, organizing one space requires looking at and reconfiguring other spaces. having an in-home consultation is the best way to get an estimate.
another thing to consider is your own capacity to be present for the process. looking through things can be triggering, and it can be hard to ask for help. this is one of many reasons I believe it can be nourishing to combine house + body work when doing deep recalibration. as within, so without.
my house is a hot mess, are you going to judge me? nope! that would be sad AND a waste of our precious time together.
deep clean vs. space recalibration deep clean means we cleanse everything. recalibration means we are strategizing around the way your space is used. when hired for recalibration, I often deep clean as I go. that is not mandatory, but highly encouraged.
how did you learn how to do this? my own life as a messy big-ideas person.
why is this work important? sometimes we set ourselves up for things that are no longer relevant. sometimes things change, and what is around us needs to change too.

therapeutic massage
do I need to undress to receive bodywork? to use certain tools on certain areas, it is beneficial to undress. I only undrape the part of your body that we are currently working on. if you are uncomfortable receiving bodywork while undressed, there are tools we can use while you are fully dressed!
I have never had a massage before, and I'm not sure if I'm comfortable with receiving touch. I am extra communicative with people new to receiving bodywork. if physical touch is triggering for you, we can consistently negotiate what is happening during session. you have the right to stop a session at any point in time, and you will be respected if you need to take a break or end the session.
how long of a session should I book? I recommend 90 minute sessions for a full body massage.
a 60 minute session is great for 2-3 focus areas.
if you are curious about craniosacral therapy but don't want to commit to a full 60 minutes, the 90 minute combo session is a great option.
this typically includes 60 minutes of massage followed by 30 minutes of craniosacral therapy.

what are your covid boundaries? I still mask in public spaces (grocery stores, concerts, dr. visits, etc. I live with 3 people that do not. I expect you to communicate with me if you are feeling un-well in the time leading up to your session as well.

I do not share your personal information with anyone, unless permitted by the client as part of a service review meant to be shared publicly. your personal information includes medical information shared in intake forms as well as the things we discuss during our work together
